The Razor A2 Scooter has a new springless front wheel and shock system along with a new wheelie bar and updated deck design. Patented rear fender brake and folding mechanism. Easy to fold and carry as well as convenient to store.

Though it'll never replace the internal combustion engine, the Razor A2 will get your child from point A to point B much quicker than on foot alone, and requires just a few scoots of one's shoes in the process. The Razor A2 is built of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Razor combined the traditional aluminum construction, however, with a number of recent innovations, including a springless shock system that makes bumpy pavement feel smoother than ever and an all-new wheelie bar that guarantees an extra dollop of fun. Add in the foldable T-tube and deck, which tuck together to create a compact footprint (ideal for carrying when riding isn't appropriate), and you have a great kick scooter for virtually any situation. Other details include an enhanced finger guard, 98 mm inline-style wheels, and a patented rear fender brake for quick stops.

This version of the Razor A2, which weighs around 6 pounds and supports up to 143 pounds, sports purple handlebars, a purple deck logo, and purple wheels and is recommended for ages 5 and older. It's also backed by a six-month warranty. For the next step up, try the Razor A3 Scooter.

Great scooter
I got this scooter for my son's 4th birthday as he was growing tired of his 3-wheeled one. He was very excited to finally ride his "big boy" scooter and took off immediately, doing all kinds of tricks on it. I was pleasantly surprised he didn't need any training with it. The scooter itself is of great quality, seems to be very comfortable, folds in just one click, and is a great value for the price!

A2 scooter just what the boy wanted
Razor is by far the most popular in the overall scooter industry. My son who has been riding the hand me down scooters from his sisters was happy but the brand "X" scooter just did not have what it takes to be in the "IN" crowd. So, my 8 year old decided he had to have the A2.... I think it was the wheelee bar on the back. He used his own money and paid me back for it since Christmas and Birthdays were too long for him to wait. He loves it and the Amozon Buy/shipping made it more affordable than the national discount department store even without the sales tax. It worked out great for all involved and now my son fits into his social group.

The simpliest toys are still the best  
I bought this for my nieces 10th birthday. Her sister got a Radio Flyer version for 6 year olds. Since Ive decided that we are going to spend as much time as possible outside when the weather permits this was perfect. I said no to a DSi and a Dell mini kids and adults need to go outside and play. It took 1-2 minutes for us to get it out of the box and upright (no assembley required). Then she was off and riding on my ceramic tile floors (it was raining outside). Her sister loved hers too (it was the all pink girlie version). So easy to use and learn to ride and it can be thrown into the trunk and taken anywhere. Im going to have to get me one. They were so happy and as long as they dont destroy them in the next year then Im happy.

The product itself is light-weight and has quite a large foot board. It has a brake for the back wheel that you can just hit with your foot. The handles are adjustable I do wish the handle bar was a little taller becaus my niece is tall. : 2010-09-15 04:07:14

a big hit with the grandkids  
I bought two of these for my 7- and 5-year-old grandchildren to use when they come to visit. They were delighted with them and able to get the hang of it very quickly. I like the way they fold up and can be adapted to each childs size by raising or lowering the handlebars so they should get many years use out of them. They are also very quiet and smooth-running.
